- Tool type
- Open-source agent workspace with cloud and self-hosted options
- Made for
- Teams and individuals automating recurring work
- Runs on
- Agenta Cloud web app, Slack/Telegram chat, or self-hosted Docker Compose or Helm
- Agents run in Agenta's runtime with their own browser and file workspace; you interact through the web app, Slack or Telegram.
What it does
Agenta takes in plain-language descriptions of recurring work, connected app data such as Slack, Notion, GitHub, HubSpot and Linear, and optional files or triggers from events in those apps. It produces working agents that run tasks, write files to a shared folder for each agent, post results back into chat or messaging apps, and log every run with its steps, cost and errors.
People use Agenta to build a coworker for repeated jobs such as SEO research, code review, support reply drafting or funnel reporting, then schedule it or let it fire on events. Distinctive parts are the built-in browser and file workspace per agent, versioned skills, approval rules for consequential actions, and the option to use an existing ChatGPT or Claude subscription or your own API key. The workspace is open source under the MIT license and can be self-hosted with Docker Compose or Helm.
It suits teams that want non-coding staff or developers to automate recurring work with human approval gates. Agenta Cloud has a free Hobby plan with credits, paid Starter at $29 per month and Business at $299 per month. Hobby is limited to 2 concurrent tasks and 2 team members, and daily free credits expire. Self-hosting is free software but you pay separately for model use and infrastructure.

- Hobby includes only 2 team members and 1 project; Enterprise adds audit logs, custom domains and a custom SLA on top of the open-source edition.
