What it does

Akur8 is an actuarial pricing platform for insurers. Actuaries and pricing teams bring in their data and use it to build risk and demand models, rating structures and production-ready rate plans. Its core models are transparent GLMs and GAMs built automatically with proprietary algorithms, with GBMs offered as an interpretable complement.

The platform covers the pricing workflow end to end: market intelligence, data preparation, modeling, rate making and deployment, with an API for integrating into an existing pricing pipeline. Akur8 Agents, launched for pricing, work inside projects. They can build pricing structures, create reports from templates, develop formulas, check variable usage and use filed rates, while actuaries review and approve changes before anything runs.

It suits P&C and health insurers, insurtechs and MGAs, from small to large pricing teams, that want no-code modeling with explainable outputs. Access is through a cloud-based platform, and a demo or free pilot is arranged through the sales team. Some modules, such as Optim, are only available in markets where regulation allows.
