What it does
Amazon Quick takes in natural-language requests, uploaded or local files, and data from connected apps such as Slack, email, Microsoft 365, Google, and QuickBooks. It produces answers, research reports, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images, interactive web apps, and automated multi-step workflows called Flows. Work can be run from a web interface, a desktop app with access to local files, a mobile app, and browser or Microsoft 365 extensions.
People use it to research topics across business data and public sources, turn conversations into finished deliverables, build simple intake forms or trackers without coding, and automate recurring tasks such as status reports. Its distinguishing feature is that these actions can span several connected tools in one conversation. Quick Sight dashboards and BI add-ons such as SPICE are also offered for analytics teams.
It suits individuals who want an everyday AI assistant (Free or Plus), teams that need shared knowledge and centralized billing (Plus and Max), and organizations needing RBAC, SSO, and admin controls (Professional and Enterprise, which require an AWS account and a $250 per account per month infrastructure fee). Usage is metered in agent hours and index storage, with overage limits on Enterprise and no overage on Professional. Output quality and usage depend on task complexity and the chosen Fast, Balanced, or Smart mode.

Example workflows

- Research brief from business data
- Input: a question about a market or internal topic plus permission to use connected sources. Steps: Quick searches business data and public sources, synthesizes findings, and drafts a report. Output: a written research report that the user reviews and edits.
Before you choose
- Usage is metered in agent hours and index storage. Agent hours count while Quick is actively working, including time spent waiting on external tools, so long multi-step tasks use more hours.
- Professional has no overage option, and Enterprise overages are billed at $3 per agent hour and $5 per GB of index storage. Check the entitlement table before choosing a plan.
- Enterprise features such as SSO, RBAC, data sovereignty, and custom dashboards are tied to the Professional and Enterprise plans and require an AWS account.
