What it does
Amira ISIP Assess is a reading assessment product in which a student reads aloud and the system listens, scores, and reports on the reading. It combines a benchmark assessment, dyslexia screener, and progress monitor in a single oral reading session of about 20 minutes, delivered in English, Spanish, or both. Outputs include scored transcripts with audio playback, standards mastery reports, and student summary reports for teachers and administrators.
Districts and schools use it for universal screening, progress monitoring, and RTI or MTSS decisions. Its distinguishing approach is oral reading analysis down to the phoneme level, with task difficulty that adjusts in the moment and family reports available in both English and Spanish. A paper and pencil option, including braille, is available for students who need non-digital alternatives.
Amira is adopted through school districts rather than by families, and access begins with a district or school demo request. The vendor reports top ratings from the National Center on Intensive Intervention and multiple state approvals. By default Amira does not retain student audio recordings unless a district opts into audio retention. Pricing, integrations, and device requirements are not published on the product pages.
