What it does
Arcjet is a runtime security platform for teams building custom AI agents and protecting coding agents and web applications. Developers add its SDK to application code, agent tool handlers, or workflow steps. Arcjet observes actions with context such as the user, session, tool, typed arguments, and prior steps, then evaluates policies before an action executes. The application receives a decision—such as allow, deny, redact, or hold for review—and its code handles that result. Decisions and their context are retained as audit evidence.
Controls include prompt-injection detection, sensitive-information and secret detection or redaction, tool-call authorization, token and call budgets, bot protection, and web-application protections. Security and platform teams can also use coding-agent hooks for products including Claude Code, Copilot, Codex, and Cursor. Arcjet is SDK-led rather than a standalone dashboard-only control: teams must integrate checks at the relevant action boundaries and decide how their code responds. The official site offers account signup and a 15-day trial; paid plans have seat limits and usage fees.
What it can do
- Observe and record agent actions with run context
- Evaluate policies before tool calls and return allow, deny, redact, or review decisions
- Detect prompt injection in prompts, API responses, and tool output
- Detect and redact sensitive information and secrets
- Set token, call, and spend budgets for users, organizations, or agent runs
- Protect web applications with bot detection, WAF, rate limiting, email validation, and signup protection
Works with
- Claude Code
- GitHub Copilot
- OpenAI Codex
- Cursor
- Muse Code
- OpenTelemetry
- Claude Compliance API
- Claude Agent SDK
- LangChain
- Strands
Before you choose
- Enforcement depends on integrating checks into the code path that performs an action and handling the decision in application code.
- The Individual and Startup plans include one and two team members respectively; Enterprise pricing is custom.
- Usage fees are additional: the pricing page lists separate meters for web requests and agent requests.

Get started
- Create an Arcjet account through the console and obtain the credentials needed for the SDK.
- Install the SDK for your application language or framework, or install the Arcjet skill for a custom agent.
- Add policy checks at the relevant tool or application action boundary, then have your code handle the returned decision.
Plans and prices
After a fifteen-day trial, a free plan continues with a 10,000-request monthly cap. Individual is $25/month; Startup is $299 per application/month. Additional usage fees are $5 per million web requests and $50 per million agent requests. Enterprise has custom pricing and controls.
