What it does
Auphonic accepts uploaded or recorded audio and video files and processes them with selectable presets or custom algorithm sets. Available options include Voice Cleaner variants, Studio Voice Beta, Static/Music Denoiser, Adaptive Leveler, Bandwidth Extension, Automatic Chapters, Summary and Transcript, and Cut Filler Words, Coughs and Silence. The output is processed audio, and the service also supports encoded output files and multitrack productions.
In the web interface you drop in a file or record in the browser, choose a preset or build your own algorithm set, and start processing. For larger volumes, the Simple API handles batch jobs, the JSON API gives full control over formats and outgoing services, and the Auphonic CLI supports command-line automation. Watch folders and no-code connections through Zapier and n8n are also available for automating podcast workflows.
The service is aimed at podcasters, educators, video and audiobook producers, and broadcasters who want automated audio cleanup. A free tier covers 2 hours of processed audio per month with basic features, and free productions include an Auphonic jingle. Full algorithm access and multilingual speech recognition require paid plans, and credits are charged by processed duration with a 3-minute minimum per production.
