Basedash
AI-native BI with governed metrics, dashboards, and an MCP server.

- AI-native BI platform
- Made for
- Operators, analysts, executives, developers
- Runs on
- Web app, MCP clients, Slack, REST API
- MCP works with remote streamable HTTP clients; a desktop app download is linked from the site.
What it does
Basedash takes plain-English questions and connected company data as input, from databases, warehouses, and SaaS tools such as Stripe and Salesforce. It produces answers with the SQL behind them, charts, dashboards, CSV files, and scheduled insights or automations sent to Slack or email. Answers draw on governed metric definitions and a semantic layer, so teams work from shared business logic.
People use it to ask ad hoc questions in chat, build dashboards, and monitor metrics for anomalies. The MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, or ChatGPT call the same analyst under the signed-in user's permissions, and a REST API and Slack app return the same answers in code or channels. Embedded analytics and a managed DuckDB warehouse are also offered.
It suits operators, analysts, and executives who want self-serve reporting without per-seat licensing. The Startup plan is $1,000/month plus AI usage for up to 25 users, with a 14-day trial and no credit card required. Enterprise is custom and covers self-hosting and SSO. AI usage beyond included credits is billed, and the MCP server connects only to clients that support remote streamable HTTP.
