What it does
Bria Build is a developer platform for generating and editing images and video. You send a text prompt, an image URL or base64 image, or a video, and receive an image or video URL along with a seed and a structured VGL description of the scene. Editing endpoints cover background removal, object-level changes, relighting, upscaling and product packshots.
Developers typically use the Python or TypeScript SDK, or raw REST calls, to submit an asynchronous job and then poll its status URL or receive a webhook. The returned seed and structured prompt let you reproduce an image exactly or refine it with a short prompt. Outputs carry C2PA provenance metadata and an invisible watermark, and public verification endpoints let anyone check them. An MCP server and agent skills expose the same capabilities to coding agents.
Bria suits developers and product or e-commerce teams building image or video pipelines, and agents that need visual assets. Access requires a Bria Console account and an API token; free accounts can call every endpoint at a reduced rate limit. Selected pipelines can also run in your own cloud or on-premises through enterprise deployment options.
What it can do
- Text-to-image and image-to-image generation with structured prompt return and seed reproducibility
- Instruction-based image editing including background removal, object changes, relight and upscaling
- Product shot editing such as packshots, cutouts, shadows and lifestyle scenes
- Video editing including background removal and replacement, masks and upscaling over REST or WebSocket
- Asynchronous job submission with polling or webhook delivery, plus optional sync mode
Works with
- Python SDK (bria-client)
- TypeScript SDK
- MCP server
- Figma and Photoshop plugins
- ComfyUI nodes
Before you choose
- Calls are asynchronous by default; plan for polling or webhook handling rather than assuming an immediate result.
- Free accounts are rate-limited; verify plan pricing and limits for production volume with Bria before committing.
- Self-hosted and enterprise deployment depend on arrangement with Bria; confirm availability for your use case.
