Cleanvoice AI

What it does

Cleanvoice takes in recorded audio or video files, including WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, MP4, MOV and MKV, and returns an edited file with noise, filler words, long silences, stutters, mouth sounds and breaths removed or enhanced. It can also produce a timestamped transcript, a summary, and a timeline of the edits that you can open in another editor.

People use the web app to upload a recording, choose which edits to apply, and download the cleaned file, or send the same jobs through the REST API with Python or JavaScript SDKs. The distinctive part is that edits are detected in the speech itself rather than from a transcript-first workflow, and each cut can be applied as a silence or as a removal.

It suits podcasters, voiceover artists, audiobook narrators, video editors and developers who process audio at volume. Trying the web app needs no sign-up, and the API requires an account and key; billing is per minute of audio with a free allowance and subscriptions. Limitations include that files are deleted after 7 days, and some integrations are listed as coming soon.

Get started

No sign-up is needed to try the web app; the API requires a sign-up and key.

1. Open the web app and drop an audio or video file, or record up to 15 seconds in the browser.
2. For API use, sign up at app.cleanvoice.ai and create an API key in the dashboard.
3. Send your key in the X-API-Key header and call POST api.cleanvoice.ai/v2/edits, then poll GET /v2/edits/{id} until the file is done.

Prices are listed per hour of audio and exclude VAT; billing is rounded up to the minute, with a 1-minute minimum. Startups can request up to 200 hours of API credit, which is a program rather than a permanent free tier.
