What it does

Dart is a project management workspace where teams create tasks, docs, and goals, then assign work to teammates or AI agents. Inputs are tasks, docs, briefs, and prompts; outputs are task updates, documents, pull requests, and reports recorded back in the task. Agents report status and results in task activity, so people can see what each agent did.

People use Dart to hand work to coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Devin, build custom agents from plain-language instructions, orchestrate lead and specialist agents, and run scheduled prompts. Agent activity lives inside the same task, board, or calendar as human work. Dart also exposes an API, an MCP server, and SDKs, so its agents can be called from outside the app.

Dart suits product, engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams that already use AI agents and want them tracked alongside people. The free Personal plan covers up to four teammates and includes AI agents; Premium and Business are paid tiers. Local agents such as Claude Code and Codex run on your own machine through the Dart agent CLI.

What it can do

  • Create and assign tasks to teammates and AI agents with status, due dates, and comments in one workspace
  • Build custom agents with plain-language instructions, model choice, thinking level, and web access
  • Run coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor against tasks and receive pull requests back in the task
  • Schedule agent prompts to run on a recurring schedule, such as weekday standup summaries
  • Let agents save memories that they can recall on later tasks
  • Connect local agents through the Dart agent CLI and drive agents through the API

Before you choose

  • Local agents such as Claude Code and Codex run on your own machine through the Dart agent CLI, not in the browser
  • MCP clients authenticate with Dart OAuth or an API token; an agent token lets an agent post updates under its own account
  • Plans differ by teammate limits and integrations, so confirm the plan includes the connectors you need
