What it does
Genie One takes natural-language questions from business users and answers them using the company data it can reach: Databricks lakehouse data, dashboards, notebooks and connected sources such as Slack, Jira, Google Drive and Salesforce. It returns context-aware answers, dashboards and insights, and can carry out actions such as scheduled tasks, drafted documents and Jira or Slack updates.
It works as a single entry point for analytics, so users can get answers without writing SQL or code. Genie Ontology, a knowledge graph of business terms and KPIs, grounds each answer in company language. Unity Catalog row- and column-level security and external source permissions are enforced for every answer. Users can also save reusable skills, and AI-powered discovery recommends popular insights to colleagues. It is reachable from mobile, Slack, Teams and MCP apps.
Genie One suits sales, finance, marketing, operations and supply chain teams that make decisions from data. Access requires a Databricks account, with an admin assigning the consumer entitlement role. It runs on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. It is built for business users; developers doing hands-on technical work are directed to Genie Code.
