Figma Make
Prompt-driven prototype and web app builder inside Figma, with editable code and canvas views.
- Tool type
- AI prototype and web app builder
- Made for
- Designers, product managers, developers
- Runs on
- Figma (web) and mobile
- Make on mobile is listed; local codebase use is coming soon/beta.
What it does
Figma Make takes a text prompt, optionally with attached Figma frames, images, videos, audio, text files, PDFs, a design system, or a codebase, and produces a working prototype or web app. Output is code-backed and visually editable, and a Make preview can be copied to the Figma canvas as design layers, or published as a website with its own URL.
People use it to spin up realistic prototypes quickly, bring in design context through Make kits (npm packages, library styles, guidelines), plan before generating with Plan mode, then refine by pointing at preview elements or annotating several changes to send at once. Connectors pull in documents and tasks from other tools, custom skills package repeated workflows, and version history tracks AI and manual edits. A built-in Payload-powered CMS and Supabase connection add backends.
It suits designers, product managers, and developers who already work in Figma and want interactive prototypes without a separate coding setup. A Figma account is required, and a free Starter plan exists with limited AI credits (150/day, up to 500/month). Generation consumes shared AI credits, so heavy use may need a paid seat or extra credits. Building in a local codebase is described as coming soon or beta.
What it can do

- Attach designs, images, videos, audio, text files and PDFs as context
- Make kits bring design systems and npm packages into generation
- Plan mode, point-and-edit, annotations and version history
- Copy Make previews to the Figma canvas as editable design layers
- Publish as a website; backend via Supabase or Payload CMS
Works with
- MCP connectors
- Supabase
- Payload
- npm packages
Example workflows
- Prototype from an existing design system
- Input: a Make kit or attached Figma frames plus a written prompt. Steps: add design context, use Plan mode to review the structured plan, generate, then refine with point-and-edit. Output: an interactive prototype that can be commented on, published, or copied to the canvas.
- Prototype with a content backend
- Input: a prompt describing a content-driven site. Steps: generate the frontend, add Payload backend support, then manage content in the admin panel. Output: a web app with a database, APIs, auth and admin panel.
