Frase
SEO and AI search content platform that audits, drafts, publishes and monitors pages.
- Tool type
- SEO and AI search content platform
- Made for
- Marketers, content teams and agencies
- Runs on
- Web app plus MCP server and CLI
- Web-based product; the MCP server and CLI run from tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or a terminal on every plan.
What it does
Frase takes in your website pages and search data, plus competitor pages and the questions visitors ask on your site. It audits each page for search and AI-answer readiness, scores it, and produces a ranked list of opportunities. It then drafts new or revised pages in your brand voice, publishes them to your CMS or to its hosted FraseCMS, and tracks rankings and AI mentions over time.
People use Frase as a weekly loop: review the audit and opportunity report, approve drafts in a review queue, and let Content Guard propose fixes when a published page starts losing Google rank or traffic. Its distinguishing features are AI Visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI, and the option to let the agent publish on its own for chosen content types. Nothing goes live until you approve it unless you opt in.
Frase suits solo marketers, in-house content teams and agencies managing several sites. It is a web app with a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card, then paid plans from $39/mo billed yearly on Starter. Monthly article and audit-page caps apply, and white-label reports and branded client portals require Enterprise. Google rankings and AI citations build over weeks after publishing, so results are not immediate.

Example workflows
- Audit and fix a slipping page
- Input: your connected site and Google data. Steps: Frase audits pages and scores them; Content Guard detects a page losing rank; Frase drafts a revision; you approve it. Output: a revised page republished to your CMS after approval.
- Turn visitor questions into a new article
- Input: questions captured by Frase Answers on your site. Steps: Frase studies existing ranking results for the topic, drafts a piece in your brand voice, and queues it for review. Output: a finished draft pushed to your CMS on approval.
Before you choose
- Monthly article, audit-page and AI-generation limits apply; Starter holds at its limits unless pay-as-you-go is enabled.
- Rankings and AI citations take weeks to build, and Frase does not promise results within the trial window.
- White-label reports, branded client portals and SSO are Enterprise-only.
