Freed AI Scribe
AI scribe that turns clinical visits into specialty-specific medical notes
- Tool type
- AI medical scribe for clinical notes
- Made for
- Clinicians and clinic groups
- Runs on
- Web-based, device microphone
- Uses the device microphone to record visits; pushes notes to browser-based EHRs.
What it does
Freed AI Scribe records a clinician's visit through the device microphone, supporting live recordings and file uploads. Speech recognition trained for clinical use converts the audio to text, and large language models then summarize it into a note formatted for the clinician's specialty and template. Outputs include the visit note, ICD-10 and CPT coding suggestions, patient instructions, referral letters, and post-visit documents, with an optional one-click push to a browser-based EHR.
Clinicians use it during or after a visit to capture the conversation, then edit the generated note. Edits can be learned for future notes. Distinctive features include specialty-aware terminology corrections, a template library with guided template learning, and Clinical Evidence answers citing medical sources. Audio recordings are auto-deleted by default and PHI is encrypted.
Freed is aimed at individual clinicians and group practices in specialties such as family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, and OB/GYN. Access starts with a free trial. Group features such as single sign-on and a Business Associate Agreement are available on the Groups plan. Freed states it is HIPAA-compliant and SOC 2 Type 1 and 2 certified, and output is a draft that clinicians should review and edit before use.
