What it does

GlideOS takes in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), files, PDFs, screenshots, or a written prompt and uses an AI agent to produce internal business apps. Its SheetSense feature reads sheet contents, formulas, lookups and notes to translate spreadsheet logic into software. Output apps run on desktop and phone, and the Inspect feature lets users click a number to see how it was calculated.

People use it to replace patchwork spreadsheets with shared apps such as inventory management, field inspections, crew scheduling, and operations dashboards, often starting from a template. Apps are private to a company by default, can be shared with employees, managers, customers or partners with row-level roles, and can be logged into from the field and synced to back-office data. Teams can also connect their own AI agents such as Claude, Gemini or ChatGPT to Glide over MCP.

It suits business teams who want to build and share internal tools without a development team. Access is through the web app at os.glideapps.dev, with a Free plan offering limited credits and paid plans from $25 per month; annual plans are described as coming soon. Credit-based usage varies with agent mode, enterprise features such as SSO and audit logs require custom Enterprise pricing, and Glide Classic apps have no migration path.

What it can do

  • Build internal business apps from a spreadsheet, prompt, PDF or screenshot
  • Read spreadsheet sheets, formulas, lookups and notes via SheetSense
  • Inspect any computed number to see its calculation in plain English
  • Share apps with role-based, row-level access to employees, managers, customers and partners
  • Log and sync data from phone in the field to the back office
  • Ask the agent questions answered from live business data

Works with

  • Google Sheets
  • Excel files
  • Google Maps
  • Okta or other SSO providers (Enterprise)
  • MCP for connecting external AI agents such as Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT

Before you choose

  • Usage is credit-based, and agent mode (light, medium, heavy) affects credit consumption.
  • Enterprise features such as SSO, audit logs and approved-model choice require the custom Enterprise plan.
  • GlideOS is separate from Glide Classic; existing Glide Classic apps cannot be migrated or share data with GlideOS.
