- Tool type
- AI runtime testing and code review for pull requests
- Made for
- Engineering and QA teams
- Runs on
- Web service connected to GitHub repositories
- The GitHub App connects repositories; Ito provisions test environments and runs browser tests.
What it does
Ito tests pull-request changes by building a single-use copy of an application and exercising user flows in a browser. It reads the diff and pull-request description to generate a targeted test plan, and teams can add plain-English instructions to prioritize or skip scenarios. Tests run against the application, including its backend, to check behavior beyond what can be inferred from reviewing a diff.
Designed for engineering and QA teams, Ito monitors connected GitHub repositories and runs tests on eligible pull requests. It reports passing and failing flows, with findings that can include severity, video, logs, screenshots, and reproduction steps; results appear in a GitHub comment when comments are enabled. Ito can rerun tests after a fix but does not merge code. To start, create an account, install the GitHub App, connect a repository, and open or update an eligible pull request. Ito supports web apps and APIs; native mobile testing is not currently documented as available.
