What it does
Linear MCP Server exposes Linear work to compatible AI clients through a hosted, authenticated interface. Its tools can find, create and update issues, projects and comments, allowing an assistant to turn a request into structured product-development work.
Users can connect through OAuth or supported token authentication. A dedicated read-only endpoint is available for research and reporting without write tools. The server uses Streamable HTTP; access to workspace data remains tied to the authorized account, and generated changes should be reviewed before execution.

- Project lookup
- Issue creation and updates

Before you choose
- Read-only access is useful when the assistant only needs research context.
- Linear account terms and AI-client costs are separate; a standalone MCP rate is not established here.
