Make
Visual platform for building AI agents and automated app workflows
- Tool type
- Visual AI automation platform
- Made for
- Teams and organizations, non-developers and developers
- Runs on
- Web-based visual builder and cloud execution
- Hosted on AWS (EU/North America); managed through the Make web interface.
What it does
Make takes in data from connected apps, webhooks, APIs, and AI models, and produces automated workflows (called scenarios) and AI agents that move and transform that data between tools. Users can build by prompting, by dragging and dropping modules in a visual builder, or from an AI chat such as Claude or ChatGPT through its MCP server. Output is data sent to other apps, plus execution logs and analytics showing what ran.
Teams use Make to connect business systems like CRMs, spreadsheets, email, and data warehouses without writing code, adding JavaScript or Python where custom logic is needed. Distinctive features include observability of the whole stack, AI agents where users set goals, tools, and limits and see the reasoning, and governance controls such as role-based access and audit logs.
Make suits teams from startups to large enterprises that want visual, non-developer automation with optional code. A free plan with 1,000 credits per month is available without a card. Paid tiers add more active scenarios and execution control. Limitations: usage is metered in credits, so complex scenarios consume more, and enterprise features require custom sales engagement.

Example workflows
- Sync new form leads into a CRM and spreadsheet
- Illustrative example. Input: a Facebook Lead Ads submission. Steps: a trigger receives the lead, a router filters by region, and modules create a HubSpot contact and append a row to Google Sheets. Output: the lead appears in both HubSpot and the sheet.
- Summarize an email with an AI model and log it to Notion
- Illustrative example. Input: an incoming Gmail message. Steps: the scenario reads the email, sends its text to an AI model such as OpenAI, and writes the summary to a Notion database. Output: a Notion page containing the summary, with credits consumed per module action.
Before you choose
- Credit use depends on the modules and AI services in a scenario; complex runs consume more credits.
- Scheduling limits, governance and enterprise connectors vary by plan.
