What it does
mcp-use is an open-source framework for exposing tools, resources and interactive applications through Model Context Protocol. It helps developers build MCP servers for agents and MCP Apps with React interfaces for compatible chat clients. Scaffolding and debugging tools support the local development workflow.
TypeScript and Python packages serve different application and client needs. The SDK can be used independently of Manufact Cloud, with hosting arranged separately. It is useful for developers turning an API or internal service into something an AI client can use. Test both protocol behavior and client-specific UI support before publishing an integration.
