What it does
NodeZero is an autonomous penetration-testing platform for organizations assessing security across their environments. Security teams provide a test scope and may use credentials; the platform can also test without credentials. For internal tests, users run a host from a Docker environment or preconfigured OVA. External tests run from Horizon3’s cloud. NodeZero explores networks, chains discovered weaknesses, and tests their exploitability to demonstrate attack paths and impact.
The platform presents test progress and exploits in a real-time view, then reports prioritized weaknesses, attack-path evidence, and remediation guidance. Teams can use Quick Verify to check whether fixes worked and schedule tests for continued assessment. Documented operations include internal, external, Kubernetes, and cloud penetration testing, plus Active Directory password audits. NodeZero is aimed at security analysts, system administrators, DevOps engineers, security teams, and penetration testers. Access includes a cloud portal; internal testing requires a configured local host and network communication with the platform.
