What it does

The PayPal Agent Toolkit connects supported AI frameworks and MCP clients to PayPal APIs through callable tools. Developers can expose operations for orders, invoices, subscriptions, shipment tracking, transaction details and disputes inside an agent application.

The toolkit supplies the integration layer; it does not provide a consumer shopping assistant or replace a PayPal merchant account. Developers configure PayPal credentials, choose the tools the agent can use and test in the sandbox. Approval and authorization controls are especially important for actions that send invoices or change financial records.
