SAS Viya

What it does

SAS Viya is an analytics and data management platform where users bring in raw data and work with it through a visual interface. Its capabilities span data wrangling, exploration, feature engineering, and statistical, data mining, and machine learning techniques within a single in-memory processing environment. Typical outputs are predictive models and operational insights.

Within the platform, SAS Model Studio provides a browser-based, low-code and no-code environment for building, comparing, and deploying predictive models. Data preparation, training, and deployment are automated, while Python, R, and SAS code can be used for customization. Deployment runs on Kubernetes, and administrators have an install center and deployment tools for managing the installation.

SAS Viya suits analysts and data scientists in organizations that run SAS infrastructure and need supported installation and administration. Access requires a SAS Viya deployment or trial, and running the platform calls for Kubernetes expertise and appropriately sized infrastructure.
