What it does
Serval is an enterprise service-management platform offered either as a full-stack system of record or as an automation layer for an existing service-management environment. Employees submit requests through channels such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, or a web portal. Its help desk agent can answer using connected knowledge sources, route tickets, and invoke automations; admins control which actions are available.
For service-desk and IT administrators, Catalyst accepts natural-language instructions and materials such as ticket history, standard operating procedures, and spreadsheets, then drafts code-based workflows, skills, and employee journeys for review and testing. Administrators approve and publish changes. Background agents can inspect ticket, device, and app data for patterns or issues and propose remediations. Serval also provides ticketing, asset and access management, knowledge, and reporting features.
Serval is accessed through its web platform and can be deployed in the cloud, self-hosted, or in a hybrid configuration. Getting started requires a sales-led pilot: the company says teams connect core integrations and build workflows during the pilot before deployment. Public pricing is not listed; Serval says it develops a proposal based on the customer’s needs. The product is designed for organizational service operations, rather than individual general-purpose use.
