What it does
Sim is an open-source AI workspace where teams build, deploy, and manage AI agents. Agents are assembled from workflows made of connected blocks, which can use models and call tools across 270+ integrations. Teams can sync sources such as Notion, Google Drive, Confluence, GitHub, and SharePoint into knowledge bases that agents draw on.
Teams build agents visually on a canvas, conversationally through Chat, or with code via the API and a CLI. A deployed workflow can be exposed through an API, a chat interface, or an MCP server. Tables and files hold structured data and shared artifacts that agents read and update, and logs trace each run block by block, including failures and costs.
Sim suits teams that want central control over access, models, spend, and data. Sim Cloud is managed at sim.ai, and self-hosting with Docker Compose or Kubernetes is documented. Enterprise features use a separate license that requires an active Enterprise subscription for production use, and Chat can be disabled on self-hosted deployments.

Before you choose
- Plans differ in concurrency, storage, rate limits, and governance features; review the plan table before scaling.
- Self-hosted deployments may need network access for Chat and external integrations, and Enterprise features require an active subscription for production use.
- The core source is Apache 2.0 licensed on GitHub; Sim credits and model usage are separate considerations.
