What it does

Speakeasy takes in agent sessions, prompts, tool calls, and MCP server connections from employees and autonomous agents, and produces governed access decisions, audit logs, and usage and cost records. Its core is an MCP gateway: agents such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor reach approved MCP servers through one endpoint, and each prompt and tool call is checked against policy before it reaches company systems.

Teams use it to provision MCP server access by role from an existing identity provider such as Okta or Entra ID, discover unsanctioned shadow MCP servers and promote approved ones into a registry, and stream every tool call to tools like Datadog, Splunk, or any OpenTelemetry collector. Platform MCP lets an agent inspect projects, catalog servers, and review risk policies within the user's own permissions, and a self-hosted option is available for data residency needs.

Suited to enterprise security, identity, and platform teams rolling out agents company-wide. Setup is an organization admin task requiring an identity provider and a deployment; the page lists a free starting option, but pay-as-you-go billing applies to session storage, risk scanning, and gateway egress, and an enterprise contract is needed for SSO-based audit and SLA support.

What it can do

  • Provision MCP server access by role from an identity provider
  • Discover shadow MCP servers and promote them into an official registry
  • Enforce policy and detect prompt injection on every prompt and tool call
  • Redact PII and sensitive data in tool arguments and results
  • Export tool-call audit logs to SIEM and OpenTelemetry collectors
  • Run an MCP gateway behind a private Tailscale tailnet

Works with

  • Okta
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Auth0
  • Datadog
  • Splunk
  • Grafana Cloud
  • Langfuse
  • Tailscale
  • Intune
  • Slack

Before you choose

  • Pricing is usage-based for pay-as-you-go plans and requires a contract for enterprise SSO, audit trail, and SLA support.
  • Model inference beyond the control plane is passed through at provider cost and billed separately.
  • Requires an identity provider and an administrator to configure policies and server access.

Get started

The page offers a deploy-for-free entry and a sign-up link for the AI control plane.

  1. Connect an identity provider such as Okta or Entra ID so teams and roles sync to Speakeasy.
  2. Add MCP servers to the catalog or register a remote streamable HTTP server to a project.
  3. Connect MDM tooling such as Jamf or Intune to roll out clients to employees, and stream logs to an observability destination.
