What it does
Tabstack Pilo is an open-source browser-agent CLI and JavaScript library from Mozilla. It uses an AI provider to interpret a task, plan browser steps, inspect pages and perform actions such as navigation, information gathering and form interaction.
Pilo runs with Node.js and a configured model-provider key, using browser drivers for programmatic operation. Its default action firewall restricts unapproved form submissions and sensitive field entry. Developers should keep those controls enabled, scope the target sites and inspect results, since browser changes and model errors can interrupt a task.
What it can do
- Natural-language browser tasks
- Visual page interpretation
- Task planning
- Structured inputs
- Browser-driver integration
- Action firewall
Works with
- OpenAI
- OpenRouter
- Playwright
Before you choose
- Model-provider and optional Tabstack API usage have separate charges.
- Disabling the action firewall weakens protection against untrusted page instructions.
