What it does

Agent Browser is a developer preview API that gives AI agents controlled access to a real browser. Each request is one API call from a closed set of nine actions: navigate, observe, click, fill, select, press, scroll, wait_for and screenshot. Results come back as accessibility-tree observations with element references.

Developers create a browser session with a domain allowlist, then drive it with those actions. Each session runs in its own hardened Kubernetes pod behind an egress proxy that refuses requests outside the allowlist and blocks private networks and cloud metadata endpoints. Agents read a structured tree of roles and names rather than raw HTML, and element references expire with the session.

It suits developers building agents that need to read or act on specific websites under explicit domain limits. Access requires a Telnyx API key and a request for developer preview access, and the product page describes it as in active development. It does not solve CAPTCHAs, and the FAQ indicates it is not presented as production ready.

What it can do

  • Create isolated browser sessions in per-session Kubernetes pods
  • Enforce per-session domain allowlists through a fail-closed egress proxy
  • Navigate pages and perform click, fill, select, press, scroll and wait_for actions
  • Return accessibility-tree observations with short-lived element references
  • Capture screenshots of rendered pages
  • Use one Telnyx API key for Agent Browser, Web Search and Inference

Works with

  • Telnyx Web Search
  • Telnyx Inference

Before you choose

  • Sessions are restricted to the allowlisted domains; requests to other domains are refused at the proxy.
  • The product is in developer preview and the page states it is in active development.
  • The FAQ states the product does not solve CAPTCHAs; verify the answer on the live FAQ before relying on it.
