What it does

Veriff Identity Verification is a business-facing identity verification service for onboarding and checking individual users. A user submits a photo of a government-issued identity document and a selfie through the verification flow. Veriff identifies the document, extracts requested fields, checks document authenticity and liveness, and applies the identity checks configured for the business. Results are returned as a decision; the business can also receive requested identity data through webhooks. The flow can use automated checks, with trained specialists available for cases requiring human review.

The service is aimed at organizations that need identity checks, including financial services, marketplaces, mobility businesses and online communities. Developers can integrate it using an API, webhooks, or pre-built SDKs for iOS, Android and web; a hosted verification page is also offered. Users complete the capture on a camera-equipped device, while the business configures the service and receives decisions through its integration or Veriff Station. A sandbox is available for integration testing.

Coverage, accepted documents and checks depend on the user’s jurisdiction and the configured service. Veriff lists support for more than 12,500 identity documents across 230+ countries and territories. Optional screening services such as PEP and sanctions checks are separate capabilities. Self-Serve pricing is per verification with monthly minimum commitments; the free trial is limited to 15 days and 50 live verifications. Enterprise pricing is custom.
