XBOW
Autonomous offensive security testing that proves exploitability and re-tests fixes
- Tool type
- Autonomous offensive security testing platform
- Made for
- Security and application security teams
- Runs on
- Hosted web platform with API access
- Accessed through the XBOW platform and an API documented at docs.xbow.com; the API console is setup, not the end-user runtime.
What it does
XBOW takes in the applications and APIs an organization exposes and runs autonomous attack testing against them. Its output is a set of validated findings, each with a working exploit, the request and response, the steps to reproduce, the chained attack path, a log of decisions, and a code-specific remediation suggestion. Findings can be sent into the team's ticketing system.
Security teams use XBOW to run continuous or on-demand assessments across many applications rather than a small set tested by hand. After a developer deploys a fix, the team triggers a retest, which XBOW describes as free and unlimited, to confirm the exploit no longer reproduces. The company says the scope, rate limits, protected URLs, and testing windows are set by the customer, and that every action is logged.
XBOW suits security and application security teams that want proof-based findings instead of long scanner backlogs. Access is through a demo request or a sales conversation, and pricing is usage-based and scoped to the customer's environment, with the option to buy through AWS, Google, Oracle, or Microsoft marketplaces. Limits to note: pricing is not published as fixed rates, some vulnerability classes are labeled as preview, and deployment depends on the customer's data residency and compliance requirements.
What it can do
- Autonomous attack testing of applications and APIs without a human driving each attack
- Validated findings with working exploit, request, response, and reproduction steps attached
- Chained attack paths showing how multiple flaws combine
- Full log of every decision and tactic, with actions logged and reviewable
- Scope, rate limits, protected URLs, and testing windows set by the customer
- Retest of deployed fixes to confirm the exploit no longer reproduces
Works with
- Ticketing system (findings delivered to the team's ticketing system)
Before you choose
- Pricing is scoped to the customer's environment and usage-based rather than fixed published rates.
- Some vulnerability classes are in preview and labeled as such in findings.
- Deployment is aligned to customer data separation, residency, and compliance requirements; certifications listed include SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, PCI DSS, and NIS 2.

Get started
Demo and quote requests go through the sales team; marketplace purchase is also offered.
- Define the scope: choose which applications and APIs XBOW can test, plus protected URLs and rate limits.
- Set the testing window and impact level, and configure how findings reach your ticketing system.
- Run an assessment on demand or continuously, then deploy fixes and trigger a retest to verify closure.
Plans and prices
Pricing is usage-based and scoped to the customer's environment and coverage. Per-unit rates and meters are not published, so buyers should request a quote to confirm cost. Retests are described as free and unlimited; confirm with sales whether this applies to every plan. Purchase is also available through the AWS, Google, Oracle, and Microsoft marketplaces.
- Scales with coverage across the portfolio
- Buy through cloud marketplace agreements
