- Tool type
- AI agent builder
- Made for
- Teams automating sales, support, ops
- Runs on
- Web app plus Chrome extension
- Agents run in Zapier's cloud against your connected apps.
What it does
Zapier Agents lets you set up AI teammates that work from instructions, company knowledge and connected apps. You supply FAQs, docs, public links and live data from your tools, and an agent produces actions and outputs such as researched and enriched leads, drafted replies, summaries appended to a Google Doc, or Slack notifications.
You create an agent with help from Zapier Copilot, choose the apps and data it can use, then let it run on command or automatically in the background. You can monitor its activity and chat with it when needed. It can also work on the web, and a Chrome extension is mentioned. The distinguishing feature is its connection to Zapier's catalogue of more than 9,000 apps, plus a library of ready-made templates for sales, support, IT helpdesk, hiring and content tasks.
It suits teams and individuals who want to hand off repetitive research, triage and drafting work without coding. Sign-up is through the Agents login page, and usage is metered in monthly activities. Limits to know: results from AI can vary between runs, reliability needs tuning, and Agents does not currently support app and action restrictions set on an Enterprise account.

- Slack thread summary
- Input: a Slack thread. Steps: the agent pulls out the key points and appends them to a Google Doc. Output: a shareable summary document.
Before you choose
- Outputs can differ between runs, so agents may need refining for reliability.
- Agents does not currently support app and action restrictions set on an Enterprise account.
