- Tool type
- Generative AI creative workspace
- Made for
- Designers, marketers, video creators
- Runs on
- Web, iOS and Android
- Web app on desktop and mobile; creations sync with Creative Cloud account
What it does
Adobe Firefly takes text prompts, plus existing photos, still images and video clips, and produces images, vector graphics, video clips, sound effects, soundtracks, speech, and translated audio or video in over 20 languages. Prompts can be written in over 100 languages. Images export as PNG or JPG and video as MP4.
People use it to generate campaign visuals, social graphics, thumbnails, B-roll and sound design, then refine results with Generative Fill, Generative Expand and Prompt to Edit. Firefly Boards gives teams an infinite canvas for mood boards and storyboards. It combines Adobe's own models, described as trained on licensed Adobe Stock and public domain content, with partner models from Google, OpenAI, Runway, Luma, ElevenLabs and others. Outputs carry Content Credentials, and results can be opened in Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Lightroom or Express.
It suits designers, marketers, video editors and social creators who want several generative models in one place with Adobe-app handoff. Use it in a browser on desktop or mobile, or through the iOS and Android apps, signed in with an Adobe account. A free plan offers daily generations; beyond that, a paid subscription and monthly generative credits are needed. Specific plan limits and which partner models are included are not confirmed..
