What it does
Agent Browser is a cloud-hosted browser service for AI agents. An agent sends instructions through an API or MCP, and a GUI browser running on Bright Data's infrastructure carries them out, returning page content such as HTML along with structured or unstructured data. Developers can connect existing Playwright, Puppeteer or Selenium scripts to it without changing the code.
It is useful when an agent needs to search, navigate, fill forms or extract data from public websites without writing custom logic for each site. Built-in handling covers browser fingerprinting, CAPTCHA solving, automatic retries, IP rotation, cookies and geolocated sessions, so the same interface works across different target sites. Shopping, flight and hotel results can be returned as data with a direct link to each live page.
It is aimed at developers building autonomous agents or scraping pipelines that need browser sessions at scale. Access is through an API endpoint or MCP, and a free trial is offered without a credit card. Pricing is usage-based per GB, and Agent Browser is intended for multi-step browser interactions rather than one-step requests. Use should stay within the terms of the target websites and applicable laws.
What it can do
- Cloud browser sessions that agents can control through an API or MCP
- Built-in website unlocking with browser fingerprinting and CAPTCHA solving
- Automatic retries and IP rotation in the background
- Geolocated sessions across countries, cities, states or ASNs
- Cookie and session management, with headless or headful browsers
- Compatibility with Playwright, Puppeteer and Selenium scripts
Works with
- Playwright
- Puppeteer
- Selenium
- MCP
Example workflows
- Price comparison across shopping sites
- Input: a product query and target retail sites. Steps: the agent opens a geolocated browser session for each site, searches, and reads results. Output: structured price data with direct links to live pages.
- Form submission on a public website
- Input: a form URL and field values. Steps: a Playwright script connects to the Agent Browser endpoint, navigates to the page, fills fields and submits. Output: the resulting page content returned to the script.
Before you choose
- Pricing is usage-based per GB on the published plans; confirm which rate applies to Agent Browser sessions before relying on it.
- The console is used for setup; the runtime is the cloud browser that your scripts or agent connect to.
- Use only on public websites and within applicable terms and laws, since the service is designed to get past bot detection.
