Agentic Document Extraction

What it does

Agentic Document Extraction (ADE) takes in PDFs, images, scanned documents, and spreadsheets and produces LLM-ready Markdown, structured content blocks, and schema-defined JSON fields. Each parsed block carries page numbers and coordinates, and extracted values include bounding-box citations so results can be traced back to the page.

Teams use ADE as an API layer in document pipelines. Parse converts documents, Split separates multi-document files into classified sub-documents, and Extract pulls fields defined by a schema, including large tables. Developers can call it through REST, the Python or TypeScript libraries, the CLI, or the docs MCP server, and a confidence score flags results that may need human review.

ADE is aimed at teams in financial services, insurance, healthcare, legal, energy, and logistics that process variable documents and need auditability. It can be tried in a browser playground or used with API keys. Pricing is credit-based with a starting free allowance, while zero data retention and HIPAA processing with a signed BAA are limited to Team and Enterprise plans.

• Pricing is credit-based: model choice (DPT-3 Pro vs Verity) and service tier (Standard vs Priority) change the credits used per page, so estimate usage before buying credits.
• Zero data retention, HIPAA processing with a signed BAA, and VPC or on-prem deployment require the Team or Enterprise plan; HIPAA also requires ZDR to be enabled.
• The 1000 free credits are offered at the start of Pay-as-you-go; the pricing page does not say whether they recur.

Credits are consumed per document processed and vary by API, model, and service tier. Pay-as-you-go is $1 for 100 credits, with 1000 free credits to start. Team plans run from 25,000 to 200,000 credits per month, from $250 per month. Check the ADE plans and billing documentation for the per-API credit rates.
