What it does
AkashML is a hosted AI inference service built on Akash Network. Developers can browse its model catalog, try models in a browser-based Playground, and send requests through an API; the service returns model outputs for use in applications. Its documentation describes OpenAI-compatible endpoints and an Anthropic Messages-compatible API, usable with their respective SDKs via a custom base URL. The catalog includes models for text and multimodal tasks, with availability and trial status varying by model.
To begin, create an account with the information and valid payment method required by the terms, generate an API key, select a model, then test it in the Playground or call the API. The product is aimed chiefly at developers and teams integrating model inference into software, rather than people seeking a standalone desktop assistant. Pricing is usage-based: token-priced models can charge for input, output and, on some models, cached input; other models may use request-specific meters. Rates and model availability can change. AkashML says requests run on independent providers in its decentralized compute network, and its terms do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Outputs may be inaccurate and should be checked.
What it can do
- Run inference on models in a hosted catalog
- Test models in a browser-based chat Playground
- Call OpenAI-compatible chat and completion endpoints
- Call Anthropic Messages-compatible endpoints
- View model prices and request usage information
- Use model-specific cached-input rates where offered
Works with
- OpenAI SDK
- Anthropic SDK
Before you choose
- API access requires account setup and an API key; documentation describes SDK use with a custom base URL.
- Token prices vary by model and meter; discounted cache-read pricing is available only for some models, and some models may have request-based pricing.
- Model availability depends on the Akash Network, service access is not guaranteed uninterrupted, and outputs may be inaccurate and require review.

Get started
The homepage says to sign up, choose a model, and run inference using the API or Playground.
- Create an AkashML account. Its terms require account details, a mailing address and a valid payment method.
- Generate an API key and select a model in the catalog.
- Test in the browser Playground or send an API request.
Plans and prices
Prices in USDUsage is model-specific: input, output, optional cached-input and request meters. Consult the current model catalog and pricing response for rates; temporary promotions are separate. Account creation does not establish a recurring free tier.
- Per-model input and output token charges
- Optional discounted cache-read rate for models that publish one
- Request-level pricing can depend on image size and image count
- Pricing formula and applicable limits are model-specific
