Augment Code
Agent platform for building and running automated software delivery loops
Linked from augmentcode.com · checked 29 Oct
- Tool type
- Agent orchestration platform for software delivery
- Made for
- Engineering teams and engineering leaders
- Runs on
- Managed cloud sandboxes, local machines, and customer cloud
- Cosmos runs in managed sandboxes, on laptops or dev VMs, or in your own AWS or GCP environment.
What it does
Augment Code's Cosmos platform takes in engineering work such as tickets, pull requests, CI failures, security alerts, and incident alerts, and runs specialized agents called Experts against them. The Experts produce outputs such as implemented code changes, first-pass PR reviews, diagnoses posted as PR comments, prioritized vulnerability issues, and incident timelines. Triggers come from GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Linear, Jira, schedules, and webhooks.
Teams use Cosmos to assemble loops that connect stages of the software development lifecycle, such as ticket-to-PR, code review, and incident response. Each Expert is a reusable template with its own environment, capabilities, and memory, and work pauses at human checkpoints where a person approves consequential actions. Auggie CLI brings the same agent and context engine to the terminal.
Cosmos suits engineering organizations that want automated, reviewed SDLC work rather than one-off coding assistance. Standard costs $20 per month and Business $100 per month, each covering up to 50 seats with included usage, while Enterprise is custom priced. Paid plans exclude AI training on customer data, and access requires signing in or starting from the Cosmos get-started page.
What it can do
- Run Experts that automate ticket triage, authoring, code review, verification, and incident response
- Assign tickets so an agent investigates and writes a PR, with human approval at checkpoints
- Post substantive first-pass PR reviews and inline findings on GitHub pull requests
- Run agents in managed cloud sandboxes or on your own machines
- Share memory across runs, agents, and teams so corrections carry forward
- Use the Auggie CLI for agent and context engine access in the terminal
Works with
- GitHub
- GitLab
- Slack
- Linear
- Jira
- PagerDuty
- Dependabot
- Snyk
- Notion
Example workflows
- Ticket to PR
- Illustrative example. Input: an assigned ticket. Steps: the Work Dispatcher triages it, the PR Author investigates and writes the change, and the Tester exercises it. Output: a pull request routed to code review, with human approval before merge.
- Incident response
- Illustrative example. Input: a PagerDuty alert. Steps: the Incident Response Coordinator pages the on-call engineer via Slack, opens a channel, attaches runbooks, and updates a timeline draft. Output: an investigation summary and timeline ready when on-call joins.
Before you choose
- Enterprise pricing and terms are custom and require contacting sales; the public rate table for usage is referenced via docs rather than fully listed on the pages.
- Usage is metered in dollars across LLM inference, a 40% service fee on LLM usage, and compute, so costs scale with activity.
- Community support applies to Standard and Business plans, and SLA does not cover trials or beta usage.
