What it does

Civitai is a web hub where users discover, download, share, and review resources for Stable Diffusion and other generative AI technologies. The site can be browsed without an account, and users can search by model hash and hide tags or creators they do not want to see. Uploaded content goes through AI tagging and, in some cases, human review.

The on-site Civitai Image Generator is a web-based interface for Stable Diffusion. Users enter a text prompt, pick a model plus optional LoRA or embeddings, and receive images processed on Civitai's servers rather than local hardware. Face fix, hi-res fix, and upscale workflows can refine results, and the generator also has text-to-video and image-to-video capability. Generations not posted to a profile are kept for 30 days.

An account is needed to use the generator and to opt in to mature content; sign-in works through Discord, GitHub, Google, Reddit, or email. Generation costs Buzz, the site currency, and all users receive some free Buzz every 24 hours. Real photographs of people, places, or objects and photorealistic depictions of minors are not permitted.

2. Open the Create button or go to civitai.com/generate, add a model, and enter a prompt.
3. Optionally adjust advanced settings or apply face fix, hi-res fix, or upscale after generation.

Generation uses a site currency called Buzz and a Civitai Subscriber status exists; check civitai.com for Buzz rates and subscription prices before purchasing.
