Claude for Microsoft 365

What it does

Claude for Microsoft 365 puts an AI assistant alongside the files you already use in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. It can explain or update a spreadsheet model, draft and revise a document, create slides within a template, and prepare email replies. Work happens in the relevant application, with context that can carry between them.

That supports workflows such as turning an emailed brief into a Word memo, building its financial model in Excel, and preparing the presentation in PowerPoint. The product is designed to preserve document styles, slide masters, and formula conventions. Word changes can be tracked, spreadsheet edits highlighted, and Outlook drafts left for the user to send.

Excel, PowerPoint, and Word support are generally available on paid Claude plans; Outlook is in beta. Setup uses Microsoft add-ins and an eligible Claude account or supported cloud-provider credentials. It is an AI layer for Microsoft’s applications, so users still need access to those host applications and must follow their organization’s add-in and data-access policies.

Get started

Paid Claude plan or supported cloud access

2. Sign in with an eligible Claude account or configure a supported cloud-provider connection.
