Go-to-market data enrichment and automation workspace for sales and revenue teams
- Tool type
- GTM data and workflow platform

- Sales, RevOps, GTM engineers
- Runs on
- Web app, plus API and MCP
- Clay API is Enterprise only; plugin for coding agents available
What it does
Clay takes in lists of companies and people, CRM records, and signals from the web, then enriches them with data bought from a marketplace of third-party providers or from your own API keys. It outputs enriched tables, lead scores, research notes, personalised messaging and routing decisions that can be pushed into other sales tools.
Teams build repeatable go-to-market plays on a visual canvas using clicks, code or chat. Typical uses include sourcing target accounts, enriching and scoring inbound leads, personalising outbound email, keeping CRM records current, building ad audiences, and preparing reps for calls. Its distinguishing feature is combining many data providers (waterfall lookups), AI research agents such as Claygent, and workflow orchestration in one place, with one contract covering the data vendors.
It suits sales, revenue operations and GTM engineering teams, from individuals to enterprises. A free plan and a 14-day trial exist, and signup is via the web app. Cost has two meters, Data Credits and Actions, so spend depends on volume. The free plan caps tables at 200 rows. CRM sync, HTTP API and webhooks require Growth. Clay API access, SSO and warehouse syncs require Enterprise.
