What it does

CodeCrab is a desktop application for software engineers reviewing teammates’ pull requests and their own changes. It reads a local repository and pull-request diffs, then presents AI observations against changed lines. Developers can investigate reviewer comments in context and get help applying a fix on their local branch. Before opening a pull request, it can review uncommitted or unpushed changes. Its repository-specific profiles and skills are intended to tailor reviews to project conventions.

The desktop app orchestrates local AI command-line tools authenticated with your own account or API keys. It supports GitHub and GitLab.com reviews, with Claude Code, Cursor CLI, Codex CLI and Copilot CLI. Install the app and explore its demo project before connecting a repository. Review findings and approve any proposed changes or comments. Local-first operation can still send review context to the selected model provider. The product is in public beta.
