What it does
Doximity Ask accepts clinical questions from physicians about drug interactions, dosing, differential diagnoses, guideline summaries, and treatment options, and returns evidence-grounded answers. Each answer includes inline citations to guidelines, studies, and references, with access to full-text PDFs from more than 2,000 peer-reviewed medical journals. Users can also upload documents such as lab reports, imaging summaries, research PDFs, clinical notes, or patient letters and ask questions about their content.
Physicians use Ask for drug monograph lookups, prescribing guidance, and comparing treatment options. It can also draft administrative documents such as insurance appeal letters, prior authorizations, and patient communications. Ask offers an Instant mode for quick answers and a Thinking Mode that takes more time to work through complex scenarios. It can remember preferences such as preferred journals, charting formats, and letter-writing style.
Ask is built for clinicians who want quick, cited answers during practice and is available on desktop and mobile. Its clinical decision support is intended as an aid to physician judgment rather than a replacement for it. Developers should note that the Doximity API is a separate product for identity verification, registration, and sharing features, not the same as Ask.
