- Bot-free capture is a Mac beta; API and MCP available
What it does
Fathom records and transcribes meetings on Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, then produces AI summaries, action items, highlight clips and searchable transcripts. Capture works either through a meeting bot or, in a beta for Mac, without a bot. Summaries are available soon after a call ends.
People use it to skip manual note-taking and follow-ups. Its Ask Fathom assistant answers questions about a single call, and a beta version searches across all calls. Notes and action items can sync to tools such as Slack, Salesforce, HubSpot, Notion and Asana, and meeting context can be surfaced in ChatGPT and Claude. Higher tiers add CRM field sync, deal view, coaching metrics with AI scorecards and custom summary templates. A public API and MCP support custom integrations.
It suits individuals who want free unlimited recordings and transcripts, and teams in sales, customer success, operations or HR who want shared call visibility. Sign-up is through the web; paid team plans require at least two users, and enterprise features like SSO, SCIM and custom retention go through sales. Bot-free capture is a Mac beta, advanced summaries are limited on the free plan, and team-call lookback depends on the plan.
