What it does
Flux is a browser-based electronics design application with an AI hardware engineer. You describe what you want to build, then work through a plan, schematic, component placement and PCB routing. The AI uses part information and design-rule checks while developing the project, and the application prepares files for manufacturing.
It supports iterative work rather than treating the first generated board as final. Engineers can inspect and edit the design, compare parts and check issues before ordering. Plans include a measured AI usage allowance in ACUs, with optional additional usage and team pooling. Flux is software for designing hardware; it does not replace engineering validation, prototyping or the manufacturer’s checks. Review electrical behavior, component suitability and fabrication outputs before production.
What it can do
- AI project planning
- Schematic generation
- PCB placement and routing
- Datasheet-based part research
- Electrical and design-rule checks
- Manufacturing file export
Before you choose
- AI-generated hardware designs still require engineering validation.
- Pro’s trial requires a $250 card hold; paid AI usage can exceed the included allowance.
