What it does
Laminar is an observability and evaluation platform for AI agents. It captures model calls, tool use, sub-agents, token usage and costs, then presents the run as a trace and readable transcript. Teams can inspect an individual failure or use Signals to analyze runs for unexpected behavior and group similar failures into patterns.
The platform connects with common agent frameworks and includes evaluations, datasets and browser-session debugging tools. Slack alerts bring newly detected issues into the team’s workflow. Hosted plans separate stored trace data from Signals analysis: the free tier has a short retention window and does not include Signals, while paid tiers meter analysis by the tokens used to examine traces. Start by instrumenting a representative agent and checking the collected data before enabling broader monitoring.
