What it does
Mathpix Snip takes in PDFs, photos of handwritten math or text, and images of equations, and turns them into editable Mathpix Markdown with LaTeX math, tables, and figures preserved. Output can be exported to LaTeX, DOCX, or HTML, and PDFs can also be read in a mobile-friendly HTML view.
People use it to digitize papers and lecture notes, write technical notes with equations and cross-references, extract tables and figures for reuse, and search across their converted library. Exports can go to Overleaf for collaborative LaTeX editing or to Word with equations preserved as MathML. Snips sync across desktop, mobile, and web.
It suits students, educators, and STEM professionals who work with math-heavy documents. Snip is available on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, and the web. A free plan covers a small monthly allowance of PDF pages and images, with paid Pro and Organization plans for higher usage and extra usage billed per page or image.
