What it does

Nexla connects enterprise applications, databases, warehouses, streams and documents through bidirectional connectors. Data and documents can be processed through ETL/ELT, change-data-capture, streaming and document pipelines, then exposed to AI agents through governed, task-specific MCP servers. Its Helix context engine uses schemas, metadata, documentation and business logic to provide task-relevant context. Teams can describe a pipeline or MCP server conversationally, then configure and monitor it in Nexla’s enterprise interface.

The platform is aimed at enterprise data and AI teams building production data flows and agent access to business systems. An agent can call a Nexla MCP server from a supported MCP client, including Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or Cursor; reads and writes are governed and logged. Nexla advertises deployment in its cloud, a private VPC or on-premises. The public pricing page describes usage-based and custom enterprise options, but does not publish rates or define the usage meters; the available starting routes are to request a demo, pre-built MCP server, or try Express.dev.

  • Build ETL/ELT and reverse-ETL data pipelines
  • Capture changes and process streaming data
  • Ingest and process documents and multimodal data

Before you choose

  • The public product site does not state access prerequisites or whether self-service registration is available for the enterprise platform.
  • Published plan descriptions are capability tiers, but the pricing page lists no rates or exact usage meters; confirm costs and usage terms with Nexla.
  • Private VPC and on-premises deployment are listed as enterprise options; implementation details and configuration requirements are not provided.
  • Confirm MCP Studio, Helix and Express.dev entitlements for the selected contract; the capability-tier matrix does not assign all new features to every plan.
