What it does

PromptQL is a multiplayer AI coworker for teams. Users connect data and context sources, then give a bot a responsibility or ask questions in plain language. It can query connected sources and produce tables, charts, reports, interactive dashboards, documents and other artifacts; examples include investigating a dashboard spike, correcting a data-quality issue, and drafting a metrics review. People can join the same thread, add context or correct assumptions, and PromptQL captures team knowledge in a shared wiki.

The product is aimed at coworkers across data, engineering, product, finance, security and other teams. It is available through a web app, desktop app, mobile apps and Slack; the docs also describe use as an AI agent in Slack or Teams. Bots run in an isolated cloud computer with a browser, and can build tools to connect to APIs or databases. Users start by creating a project, inviting coworkers and connecting data. A free Playground is offered; paid usage and enterprise deployment have separate terms.

Access follows the permissions of the person prompting the bot, but content posted in a shared chat is visible to its participants. The service’s pricing page describes usage in OLUs, influenced by model and workload, and says a running virtual machine also consumes usage. Mobile apps are marked beta in the documentation.

What it can do

  • Query connected databases and SaaS tools using natural-language requests
  • Generate tables, charts, reports and interactive dashboards
  • Collaborate with coworkers in shared threads and capture team context in a wiki
  • Delegate coding tasks and run code in a cloud coding environment
  • Create bots that can work continuously in an isolated computer with a browser
  • Create artifacts and apps and build tools for API or database connections

Works with

  • Postgres
  • Snowflake
  • BigQuery
  • Databricks
  • GitHub
  • Slack
  • Salesforce
  • Google Workspace
  • Claude Code
  • OpenAI Codex

Before you choose

  • A bot uses the permissions of the person who triggered each action; shared-chat responses are visible to everyone in that chat.
  • Usage depends on the selected model and work performed; the pricing page states that running VMs and some built-in integrations consume OLUs.
  • The docs identify the iOS and Android apps as beta.

Plans and prices

Team amounts are usage budgets rather than seat fees; each paid user gets a budget, billed weekly, with unused credits rolling over weekly. Enterprise is consumption-based with a monthly minimum commit; its OLU rates are contract-set. Pricing FAQ says Team usage covers tokens, VM runtime and other billable usage. Custom offers BYOC, self-hosted and bring-your-own-model deployments; the page does not state a fixed amount. A connected OpenAI Codex subscription can be used with $0 PromptQL usage charge for that model, according to the FAQ.
