What it does

Quark is Alibaba's AI-oriented browser and app suite. It takes in web pages, long articles, videos, PDFs, scanned paper documents, photos and files stored in its cloud drive, and produces summaries of key points, translated pages, cleaned-up reading views, editable Office or PDF files, generated slides, video subtitles and backups. An AI assistant can be called up from a sidebar, floating ball or screen sharing.

People use it as a daily browser and as a study or office tool: summarising an article in reading mode, erasing ads and pop-ups from a page, translating foreign-language sites in context, scanning a worksheet and removing handwriting, or finding a drive file by describing it in natural language. It differs from a plain browser by bundling AI help, cloud storage, scanning and document conversion in one product, and it exposes drive and scanner abilities for AI agents to call.

It suits students, office workers and people who move files between phone, tablet and computer. Clients are listed for Windows, macOS (Intel and Apple silicon), a browser extension, iOS, Android, HarmonyOS and iPad. The site is in Chinese.
