What it does

Secoda is an AI platform for data and analytics that connects to your data sources and reads metadata, lineage, documentation and usage information rather than the underlying data. From that governed metadata layer it provides a searchable catalog, lineage graphs, documentation, monitors, policies and Secoda AI.

Teams use it to find data, trace upstream and downstream dependencies, document tables and columns, and ask natural-language questions through Secoda AI, which is built on RAG and metadata-trained embeddings and follows team-based permissions. Secoda AI also works inside Slack and Microsoft Teams, and a Chrome extension supports in-browser discovery and metadata editing.

It is aimed at data leads, engineers, analysts and governance managers who want one governed view of their data stack. Access starts with a free trial, and the pricing page lists Core, Premium and Enterprise plans with feature lists. Advanced controls such as self-hosting, single-tenant deployment and access request management are listed on higher plans.
