Simular
Computer-use agent that runs tasks on a cloud or personal computer
Linked from simular.ai · checked 29 Oct
- Tool type
- Computer-use agent for screen-based tasks
- Made for
- Multitaskers, business teams and developers
- Runs on
- Cloud VM or own Mac/Windows device
- Sai runs on a private cloud virtual machine or on your own device (BYOD on Mac mini, macOS and Windows).
What it does
Sai takes a plain-language task description and runs it on a computer, clicking and typing through browsers, desktop apps, file systems and terminals. It works from screen views rather than relying only on APIs, so it can handle software that exposes no automation interface. Outputs are the results of the completed work, such as updated files, spreadsheets, drafts or reports, with live visibility into each step.
People use Sai for repetitive multi-app work such as research, lead sourcing, follow-up drafting, scheduling, spreadsheet updates and recurring reports. Teaching a task once lets it rerun on a schedule, and the vendor says repeated runs become more reliable and cheaper. Sai can run on a cloud virtual machine so tasks continue after a laptop is closed, with notifications and approvals through iMessage or Telegram.
Sai suits multitaskers and business teams with high volumes of screen-based routine work and does not require technical skills or APIs. Access is through the sai.work site and sign-in, with a free cloud account and a separate Simular API for developers. Limitations include approval requirements for important actions, a first request that can take about two minutes to start on a free account, and consumer pricing that should be verified on the vendor pricing page.
What it can do
- Runs computer-use tasks in real desktop apps, browsers, file systems and terminals
- Operates graphical interfaces, so it can handle software without APIs
- Runs on a cloud virtual machine so tasks continue without an open laptop
- Reruns taught tasks on a schedule with persistent memory of setup and logins
- Shows live visibility of work and asks for approval on important actions
- Supports skills to extend behavior for specific workflows
Works with
- iMessage
- Telegram
Before you choose
- Important actions may need approval, and the agent continues only as far as approvals allow.
- A free account holds one API key and a single cloud computer; paid accounts hold up to 20 keys.
- Desktop-agent work touches real files, logins and apps, so review the setup and scope of tasks before running recurring jobs.
