Snowflake CoWork

What it does

Snowflake CoWork takes natural-language questions about structured and unstructured enterprise data and returns cited answers, charts, tables and shared Artifacts. You can also start Deep Research, which runs multi-step investigations in parallel and produces a cited report, and configure agent tools to take actions in connected business apps.

People use it to ask why metrics moved, pull trends from sales and marketing data, check customer support cases, and save or share charts and conversations with a team. Its distinct feature is that it runs inside Snowflake's governed platform, so existing row-access policies, column-level security and data masking apply to agent answers.

It suits business users and data teams already on Snowflake who need governed self-service analysis. Access is through the web and an iOS app. Pricing is usage-based in AI Credits plus the underlying service costs, and the free trial is time-limited. Some advanced features remain in preview.

Start a 30-day Snowflake trial with free credits.

1. Sign in to your existing Snowflake account with a user and role authorized for Snowflake CoWork; the web app is at ai.snowflake.com, and the iOS app is available on the App Store.
2. An administrator configures governed agents: the getting-started guide uses ACCOUNTADMIN for one-time setup to load sample data, create a semantic view and a Cortex Search service, and create a Cortex Agent with the Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search tools.
3. Users then select the configured agent in Snowflake CoWork and ask questions in natural language.

Billed in AI Credits by token consumption and model selected; costs add up across underlying services such as Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search. Free trial is time-limited, not a permanent free tier. Consult the published rate table for current rates.
